The Climatewalks site, curated by Climateflux, is a project that aims to collect and analyze high-resolution microclimate data through walks or bicycle tours. Climatewalks addresses the need for evidence-based and inclusive action against climate change, planning frameworks that meet the unique needs of each neighborhood and its stakeholders.
Parco Studio created the new Climatewalks website with a modern design, using the project’s graphic sign as the key image. The homepage opens with an animation of one of the paths, transforming the project component from a functional to a communication object.
The case study presents the route in the Munich city centre, showing all the different microclimatic factors recorded, from air temperature to wind speed, from radiation to PM10 concentration, with a legend making them easy to read.

The site offers various packages for scheduling and planning routes for collecting microclimate data using the Climatewalks Backpack, the result of more than 10 years of research and development. This device features a portable weather station for collecting these dynamic, high-resolution microclimate data, as well as an array of sensors that regularly monitor environmental conditions around the wearer.
These data help assess climate risks, develop adaptation strategies, monitor the impacts of climate initiatives, and define priority areas for action.
