What potential can Risograph printing bring when applied to drawing and illustration? A free interpretation on the theme of landscape will serve as the starting point for a workshop dedicated to drawing and printing, approached entirely through analog methods. Participants will be invited to explore lines and graphic marks using different techniques and materials, and to see how they translate into print. Together, we will experiment with how Risograph printing can be used not just as a technical tool, but as a true medium for creative expression. The final outcome will consist of a limited edition of 10 A3 prints, produced using three colors.
Daria Tommasi, a visual artist based in France, works through drawing and its possible developments across other media such as publishing, ceramics, and Risograph printing. Through her artistic research, she explores different ways of creating images, using marks and shapes, colors, and discarded materials to investigate the hidden potential within the everyday and to rewrite stories and memories.
