Issue #398 of IDEA is a special issue focused on the work of Japanese designer Ryoji Tanaka. Tanaka, who runs Semitransparent Design, began his career as a web designer in the early 2000s, as online media began to permeate society. His practice weaves together a diverse array of designs using computers and technology.
In this issue, Ryoji Tanaka's works are categorized by form (graphic design, web design, installation art, exhibition planning) and arranged chronologically by category. Tanaka himself curated the works included in this volume.
IDEA is a quarterly magazine on graphic design and typography published in Japan.
