A talk by Francesco Valtolina – Creative Director and Graphic Designer

Francesco Valtolina is a Creative Director and Graphic Designer. Since 2008, he has been the Art Director of Mousse Magazine and the eponymous publishing house, which he co-founded in the same year. In 2018, he founded the fashion brand and creative studio Cabinet Milano.
As a designer, over the past 20 years, he has collaborated with publishers such as Phaidon, Sternberg Press, Electa, Spector Books, and Rizzoli New York, as well as international cultural institutions and galleries, including dOCUMENTA, the Venice Biennale, the Rome Quadriennale, Galleria Massimo de Carlo, Giò Marconi, the Centre d’Art Contemporain in Geneva, Triennale Milano, and the Istituto Svizzero. He has also worked with fashion brands and product design companies such as Pirelli, Memphis Milano, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, and Moncler.
In 2021, he co-founded the bookshop Commerce in Milan. Since 2013, he has been a lecturer in Graphic Design for contemporary art at NABA in Milan, in Editorial Design at ISIA in the specialist publishing degree program at ISIA Urbino, and, together with Rossana Passalacqua, in the final Art Direction workshop at IUAV in Venice.
